How a mortgage broking business became a matching service, and why that's a good thing for people who land here.
Summit Mortgages started in 2018 as a mortgage broking business based in Matamata, helping people across New Zealand with their home loans.
In 2025, Kyle moved fully into KiwiSaver advice as Summit Wealth, and the Summit Mortgages loan book was sold to another adviser business. Summit Wealth Limited is the same company, and it now runs Summit Mortgages.
Summit Mortgages now runs as a matching service. If you land here needing a mortgage, we still make sure you end up with a licensed adviser who fits your situation, we just don't do the advising ourselves anymore.
About Kyle
Kyle Imeson has worked in banking and financial services since 2009, across New Zealand, London and Australia, and holds a finance degree from Massey University.
He's based in Matamata with his family, and now runs Summit Wealth, a KiwiSaver-only advice business. Summit Mortgages continues on as this matching service, keeping the door open for people who still need a mortgage adviser.
