What we collect

When you use one of our enquiry forms or the match form, we collect your name, contact details, region, what you need help with, your general timeframe and anything else you choose to tell us. If you arrived from one of our ads or a campaign link, we also collect the ad click ID and campaign details from that link.

Why we collect it

To refer you to trusted advisers and lenders who handle the kind of loan you need, and to make the introduction. If you tick the KiwiSaver box, we also use your details to pass your request to Summit Wealth Limited, the same company that operates Summit Mortgages, so Kyle can get in touch about KiwiSaver.

Who we share it with

Only the broker or lender we pass your enquiry to, plus Summit Wealth Limited if you've ticked the KiwiSaver box. Summit Wealth Limited is the same company that operates Summit Mortgages, so this stays in house, not with an outside business. We don't sell your details, and we don't otherwise pass them to anyone else, apart from the services that host this site and send our emails. If you follow our Tower insurance link, you go to Tower's own site and deal with them directly; we don't send your details to Tower ourselves.

How long we keep it

We keep your enquiry or match request details, including any ad click ID and campaign details sent with them, only for as long as we need them for the referral, our compliance obligations and handling any dispute, and then we delete or anonymise them where practical.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you and to ask us to correct it. Contact us using the details below to do either.

Analytics

This site uses Google Analytics to understand how visitors use it. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar identifiers to collect usage data, such as the pages you visit, your device and browser, your approximate location and how you found the site. We don't send your name or contact details to Google Analytics. You can opt out by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on from tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

We also use Google signals in Google Analytics. If you're signed in to a Google account with personalised ads switched on, Google can link your visits here to that account, which gives us aggregated reports on how people use the site across devices, along with general demographics and interests. It can also be used for our Google ads, including showing ads to people who've visited our site. You can turn this off at any time in Google's My Ad Center (adssettings.google.com) or with the Google Analytics opt-out add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).

Google Ads and ad click details

If you reach our site through one of our ads or a campaign link, that link carries an ad click ID (gclid, gbraid or wbraid) and campaign (UTM) details. We keep these, along with the page you first landed on, in your browser until you close the tab. If you send us an enquiry, we add them to it so we can see which ads and campaigns lead to enquiries. They then stay with your enquiry for as long as we keep it (see 'How long we keep it' above). We use them only to measure our advertising, and we don't pass them to the brokers and lenders we refer you to.

We use Google Analytics, and may use Google Ads, on this site. Google's tags set cookies and collect information such as the pages you visit, your device and the ad you clicked, to give us reports and to measure our ads. Google may also use this information as described in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services. Google is based in the United States, so this information may be sent to and stored there. These Google tags run by default whenever you visit, except for visitors from the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland, where they run without cookies and with ad features turned off.
